About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Brandon! I’m a software engineer by trade, though I’m (of course) interested in making games. When I’m not programming, I’m often running tabletop RPGs of some sort (typically Pathfinder)… which is a lot like making game, too. Games, to me, are an intersection of a lot technological and creative spheres of expertise and I’ve always wanted to be a part of them.

Project Description

Darwin’s Island is a game inspired by many of the older roguelikes such as Nethack and Angband. The player starts as a small, weak creature and through a very loose interpretation of evolution, evolves to become stronger and stronger until they’re able to escape Darwin’s Island or die trying.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

One piece of advice that I would give new ATEC students is… that despite what it looks like, most people don’t really know what they’re doing. It’s actually quite normal to ask questions and ask for help!

What’s on your music playlist?

My music playlist is constructed from all the nearly random artists I’ve decided I like over the years, but to pick a few out: girl in red, Neoslave, Emery, Julien Baker, Haley Williams, Oliver Tree, Copeland and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes.
