About Me

Hi, there; nice to meet you! My name is Marisa. I’m an artist with interests in many hobbies, such as graphic design, animation, and writing. I love food almost as much as I love art. My home and heart is in Plano, but I enjoy seeing new places as well. I enjoy making people laugh and shining a new light on different projects. When I’m not making art, I can be found playing with my nieces, enjoying stormy weather, and playing video games.

Project Description

The Dimokre Chronicles Book Trailer is a short video about the fantasy series I’ve been working on since I was ten years old. The trailer starts with the guidebook opening to reveal “living doodles” of the main characters and villains. The end screen shows the book covers, the book title, and my name as I am the author and the trailer maker.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

In the back of the ATEC building, there are elevators that go all the way up to the fourth floor. Don’t use the lobby elevators up to the third floor and walk the rest of the way. On a day you don’t have a class, I recommend exploring the building without your backpack and fear of being late. Familiarize yourself with where your classrooms and professors’ offices are.

What’s something that is always on your work desk?

Two things that are always on my work desk is an eraser and a backup hard drive. It’s important to save your work from both mistakes and from losing all your progress. Plus, you can never be too careful when it comes to saving your work.
