Jessica Dressler

About Me

Hi there! My name is Jessica Dressler and I enjoy creating vector art illustrations as well as motion graphics. Some of my favorite programs to work with include Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. While creating and designing, I always look to offer a new perspective to a subject or topic when working collaboratively or individually. I usually focus on animals and creatures as a subject matter in my artwork, and I love having them as a part of my family too! I have five parakeets, a bearded dragon, and multiple fish tanks with all different kinds of freshwater fish that have been the driving force behind my efforts. Other activities I enjoy include exploring nature and playing video games.

Project Description

Fish of the Freshwater Aquarium is a book that illustrates various freshwater fish in the aquarium hobby. Each personalized illustration playfully captures the natural qualities of specific fish while supporting text provides readers with details about the required care and common misconceptions behind these creatures.

What’s something that is always on your work desk?

My collectible figurines are pretty much always on my desk for inspiration. There’s a lot of them, so I had to get an elevated shelf to make more space for my laptop and working area!

What’s your favorite memory of ATEC?

My favorite memory of ATEC would be learning motion graphics! I was not familiar with the subject prior to attending, but having background knowledge in Adobe Illustrator made the learning experience even more awesome and memorable. I overall was able to make some really cool pieces and look forward to applying my skills to other parts of my work!
