About Me

Heya! I’m Erin, and I’m a big fan of everything animation, especially preproduction and lighting. Behind-the-scenes clips from early Pixar movies like Monsters, Inc. sparked my interest in production, which took off when I read the artbook for Avatar: the Last Airbender and saw the level of thought and inspiration that went into it. I’m a big fan of video game music, animals, and I enjoy riding my bike; in my spare time I love talking to my friends and playing video games, and can usually be found idling in Final Fantasy XIV.

Project Description

“Folio on the Two Opposing” is primarily a design-based project that revisits two old characters from my childhood, incorporating skills and perspectives I’ve gained in my time at UTD. It’s loosely inspired by works like the “Dragonology” series, and includes a lit and textured digital model of one character.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

Never let fear hold you back from something. Even if you fail, even if you fail catastrophically, there’s always another door – and always something valuable you can learn from it.

What’s something that is always on your work desk?

(Part of) my collection of sculptures, figurines, standees, and charms. Most of them are nerdy and I wouldn’t change that for the world!
