About Me

How’s it going? My name is Chaynen Casas. I’m a game designer, fighting game enthusiast, and sports fan. Born and raised in Brownsville Texas, video games and the communities that surround them have always been a part of my life. Gaming is a form of escapism and can be used as a medium to bring people together. I have made most of my closest friends through video games and that is why I want to be part of the game creation process is some form or function.

Project Description

Kage is a modification to the leveling and class system of Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Rather than gaining new features upon level up, the players gain Action Points that they can spend in Enhancement Trees that allows for more personal and custom character builds.

What will you miss most about UTD after graduation?

The community. It’s easy to meet new people and make friends here at UTD. The more people you know, the bigger your network is, and that is very important for people perusing a degree in ATEC

What’s your favorite memory of ATEC?

Giving UTD it’s first national title by winning the Collegiate Star League 2019 at Shine 2019 as a part of the Esports program’s Super Smash Brothers team.
