About Me

My name is Julian Moreno. I’m a 3D modeler, my favorite kind of games are single-player narrative focus games. I always knew I wanted to be a part of the story creation, but I couldn’t figure out where to specialize in. That was until I took a Virtual Environments course. I love being able to create whatever I can think of without restrictions. Also, I enjoy being able to tell a story through objects and an environment without ever having to say a word. Outside of 3D modeling, I’m a part of a dance team called EPYH. I love dance because just like 3D modeling, I can express thoughts, feelings, and stories without ever saying a word.

Project Description

This project is a 3D virtual recreation of the exterior of the bathhouse from the movie Spirited Away.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

My advice is, that It’s okay to not know what to do, it’s okay to mess up, it’s okay to fail at things, it’s okay that things seem to not be going right. I encourage anyone who’s going through a tough situation to seek help, while there may be situations that nobody could physically help do for you, there are plenty of resources and opportunities to surround yourself with people or activities that can help you get through it. You never have to face a problem alone.

What are you most looking forward to after the pandemic?

I most look forward to traveling, life is too short to not experience what the world has to offer.
